Client’s Profile
Equadyne is a US-based company that delivers services in the DeFi niche. It offers an automated, intuitive investing and trading platform that simplifies the financial experience even for newbie investors. The company also features a broad set of pro-investor tools and financial products for seasoned market players and expert fund creation and management services in decentralized finance.
Client’s Requirements/ Goals
The Client approached 4IRE with a request to build a decentralized exchange of a new generation, which would allow novice investors to collaborate with professionals on the user-friendly platform. The exchange was meant to pool investor funds into a variety of Investment Funds (pools) set by professional traders on the platform, with contributors receiving fair ROI from their investments. The newly registered user should have an opportunity to find the Pool they like and add their money to it.
Technically, the platform should operate as a DEX aggregator, giving users one-point access to various financial instruments. It should also provide advanced analytical insights and real-time analysis for smart portfolio tracking and management.
Business Challenge
The 4IRE team’s initial challenge was limited fund scalability due to on-chain gas restrictions. As more assets and investment instruments were added to the Pool, gas fees for fund operations, like deposits and withdrawals, tended to become too high and financially unviable. This problem imposed a cap on the number of DeFi assets that could be added to specific Pools.
Second, the integration aspect turned out challenging, as the addition of financial instruments and cross-platform integration meant reliance on their success and growth as a vital criterion for the Client’s platform development.
The initial solution was developed using the BNB blockchain, but broader access to a wider user base and a variety of funds required the addition of other blockchains to attain greater interoperability.
Finally, the 4IRE team had to resolve the challenge of integrating safe and interoperable wallet solutions so that non-crypto users could also utilize the platform and enjoy the DeFi experience. This way, the task involved bridging crypto and fiat payment methods to guarantee universal access to the platform’s functionality.
Implementation
The 4IRE team was involved in all stages of the platform’s creation, from the project’s design to actual development, QA testing, and upgrades.
Vision and Business Opportunity Determination
The 4IRE Business Analytics team conducted an in-depth market evaluation to stipulate the project’s vision based on the existing business gaps and opportunities in the DeFi industry. Based on the real-time market insights, 4IRE analysts proposed functionality that could close the existing tech gaps and address modern users’ needs.
Project Scoping
The project’s functionality and overall business idea were confirmed with the Client and informed the initial design of the platform’s landing page, pool search and exploration page, details about available Equadyne pools, the visualization of the investment process and ROI monitoring. The 4IRE designers created all components for the platform’s presentation to users, from the withdrawal process to pool management layouts, and differentiated the website’s data by user roles and stories.
Architecture Solution
The platform’s architecture solution was developed on the basis of differentiated user roles – managers, investors, and business users. User flows were designed for every user category’s flow and goals on the platform.
The team designed the centralized and decentralized parts of the Equadyne project. The former covered the MVP and the full-scale business website, welcoming users, introducing them to the ecosystem’s functionality and benefits, and allowing user-friendly registration. The website’s MVP was meant as a backendless app—a solution to development time and complexity—with an SQL database added at the post-MVP stage.
The latter referred to the blockchain-based Equadyne protocol functioning with the help of smart contracts. The 4IRE team developed the full detailed pool creation flow, pool management features of adding or removing crypto assets and funds, spot and liquidity trading flows, derivative trading options, and staking and lending services. 4IRE engineers also created automated strategy builder tools to enable pool managers to streamline their trading strategies.
EQN Token Design
We also worked on the design of the EQN (Equadyne) token. Our experts developed a strategy for the token’s launch, staking and vesting schedules, carbon credit integration opportunities, and its launch for circulation on major DEXs with guaranteed liquidity.
Solution Delivered
The project lasted from Jan. 2023 to Feb. 2024 and was divided into three main phases:
- Discovery phase – January 2023.
- Delivery phase (part 1) – February – May 2023.
- Delivery phase (part 2) – August 2023 – February 2024.
Depending on the project’s phase, a team of 5 to 12 4IRE experts was engaged in the process full-time.
Project Outcomes
The Equadyne platform is set to launch in 2024, welcoming investors of all proficiency levels to enjoy a user-friendly and transparent cross-chain DeFi investing experience. The solution operates as a non-custodial, blockchain-based ecosystem with 24/7 access to investors’ funds. The ecosystem operates on the BSC blockchain network and offers a variety of manual and automated trading and investing options to users.
